Local friends booked this lodge for us, and all things considered, our stay at Jaldapara was quite pleasant. The food in the dining room, included in the package, was very good, and morning tea (with biscuits) was simple, but fine. As for the rooms, they were acceptably clean, with hot water on demand, Western-style toilets, cable TV, and two ceiling fans that moved the air really well. Simple earplugs -- a real must while traveling anywhere -- dampened the sound of the nearby train and a dog that wouldn't stop barking. The only thing I would change is the pillows, which felt like big bags of flour.
