Overall Rangaroon Home Stay was an excellent experience from every aspect, whether its food, accommodation, the Tea Garden, locality, approach road and most importantly Mr. Kismat Rai and his family.
  • The rooms were very good in terms of decoration and cleanliness,
entire house is decorated with various types of doll and show-pieces which is an added attraction for kids. The rooms have great view of
Mt. Kanchendzonga. Toilets were very clean.
  • Food served with great homely affection and was really tasty, hat's off to Mrs. Rai for this.
  • Entire Rai family is very good, all the family members are very friendly with ever smiling faces.
  • Approach road from Ghoom to Rangaroon and even from Rangaroon to Mongpu is very beautiful and adventurous traversing through dense forest.
  • We arrived at Rangaroon from Lepcha Jagat.
A car was arranged by Mr. Rai. The Tea garden is also awesome with
Mt. Kanchendzonga and Darjeeling town towering behind.

Overall Hat's off to Wind-Oz and Kolahal for promoting such a wonderful place.

I would like to thank you for suggesting us such a lovely place.
It was a pleasure driving downhill from Darjeeling to Rangaroon.
It was great for us being there amidst calm and serene environment accompanied with lovely food and heart warming music.

Mr Rai and his family were an excellent host. The food was great specially the momos. Little Anudith, grandson of Mr Rai, entertained us with his lovely songs. Mr Rai's Bhajans were great. The local band gifted us a lively lovely musical evening.

The rooms were clean and very tidy. The bathroom was very clean. All the members of the family were extremely courteous and friendly. We wish them success in future and hope to get back to Rangaroon Khalling Cottage soon.

Rangaroon tea estate is located in the picturesque village of Rangaroon. It is only 6 km from Darjeeling town. A beautiful cottage with four rooms and modern facilities is available for accommodation. A view of the Kanchenjunga range and the lush green tea garden from the cottage is one of the attractions of this place. Food is cooked with fresh vegetables from organic farms. Short local treks through nature trails are arranged for the tourists.
