A view from the Kurseong Tourist Lodge
This hotel is located at the end of the town (Kurseong). The quality of food and ambience is excellent. The service is good. The most fascinating part is the picturesque view from the restaurant of Kanchenjunga and the view of the nearby hill with Balason River flowing by near the small valley. If you happen to visit Kurseong or Darjeeling, do plan to drop in to this restaurant for lunch. It’s the ideal time.
The toy train trundling past the Kurseong Tourist Lodge
The tourist lodge at Kurseong lies on the Siliguri/Darjeeling road, and the best part is that the toy train runs past the lodge!! So while you enjoy your coffee in the restaurant you simultaneously enjoy the beauty of the toy train trundling by. The rooms are comfortable, but service is very poor and takes away the joy of the stay. If that were to improve this place would be super!! The quality of the food served in the restaurant is good.
