Sittong is a very attractive place for nature lovers who are looking for a quiet place.
We arrived at Sittong from Chatakpur. The two of us took a forest trek route from Chatakpur to reach Nalidera where a pre-arranged car would wait for us for a ride to Sittong. There was no porter and no guide with us. We were lost on our way in the forest. After walking around we reached a village named Sikhsim. From there with help of the villagers, we managed to reach the main motorable road. To make the situation worse, it started to rain heavily. We contacted the driver of the pre-arranged car and instructed him to pick us up.
The road to Sittong from Chatakpur was not at all good. In fact, near Riyang river, there was no road at all. Due to heavy rain, the road was quite patchy. As the road was steep, we got down from the vehicle and moved up easily.
Our room in Chhyolom Kyomg was very clean and organized. In the bathroom, there is a geyser. So hot water supply is sufficient.
The quality of the food served to us was very good. Fresh and tasty.
We were served Luchi and Aloordam for breakfast. Bhat, Daal, Pickel, Papad, Kudri-Aloo Bhaja, one veg-curry and Fish for lunch. Tea and pakoda for evening snack. There was a choice of rice or roti for dinner. We chose roti. It was served with mixed veg curry and chicken.
On our way back, it took us half an hour to reach Mongpoo from Sittong.
