''Monsoon at Mongpong: It is a view of the forest rest house at Mongpong in Dooars. After a heavy shower in the afternoon, where the sight goes as far as possible over the horizon, crossing the forest, till the Teesta, one can enjoy different shades of green. Black clouds began to cover the sky slowly. The horizon was still white and the sky over Teesta had light. The sights and sounds of this whole affair from within the glass cottage is so heart warming, and adventurous that the idea of visiting Mongpong once during full monsoon suddenly became very endearing.'' – Avishek Khan
